Edmonton Scottish United SC encourages its families to be active participants in the operations of our club. Families are required to commit to a one volunteer shift, event or agreed-upon commitment each season.

The ESUSC Board has a fiduciary responsibility to protect the Club while providing its membership clarity and certainty regarding refunds and credits.

Players enrolled in multiple competitive club sports may have difficulty in fully committing, ultimately leading to the player not being able to participate in soccer. This program allows multi-sport athletes an avenue to further develop their soccer skills.

Requirements and best practices for team-based fundraising should be reviewed by all teams.

Scottish United SC provides each team a seasonal allowance of $500.00 (U8 - 11) or $600 (U13+) OR the fee for our Caledonia Cup Tournaments (1 per season) will be waived.
The tournament allowance is NOT transferable and cannot be carried over to a subsequent season.

Playing Time is unquestionably one aspect of player and team development where our club wants to establish age-and-stage appropriate guidelines.

Teams entering local tournaments as well as those traveling out-of-town are ambassadors for ESUSC, and we trust that all participants will embrace fair play, demonstrate respect for opponents and officials, and conduct themselves with honesty and integrity at all times.

It is important to remember that participants have other responsibilities when traveling as a representative of Edmonton Scottish United SC. This Code of Conduct helps to outline those responsibilities.

Anytime a team travels outside of Alberta to compete in a tournament or attend a training camp, they must complete a travel permit application.

All club members - coaches, team staff, players and parents - must complete the appropriate Code of Conduct seasonally.

The purpose of this policy is to protect participants from verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, while also reducing risk and liability.

This rule serves to protect minor athletes in potentially vulnerable situations by ensuring that more than one responsible adult is present.

These guidelines applies to all club members, and help establish a common understanding of expectations for adults interacting with children in our Club, and a create a sense of safety for those who need to bring forward any concerns of misconduct towards children.

Our club wants to assist those who suspect that inappropriate behaviour is occurring under the auspices of club programming. This guideline applies to all club members.
